Kashyap falls to Tanongsak in final

Bangkok, May 3: India no.3 P Kashyap’s title hopes went up in smoke after he suffered a straight-game defeat in the summit clash to finish runners-up in the Smiling Fish International series championship in Thailand on Sunday. The top seeded Indian went down 21-23 14-21 against second seed Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk of Thailand in 48 minutes. In the women’s doubles final, India’s Thulasi PC and Sikki N Reddy lost to local favourite Porntip Buranaprasertsuk and Sapsiree Taerattanachai 9-21 17-21 in a 25-minute contest. PTI
