Sai Praneeth, Sindhu win national junior title

Yanam (Pondicherry): Sai Praneeth and PV Sindhu won the 35th National Junior Championships (Dec 3 to 10). Top seed and defending champion Sai Praneeth beat second seed Sameer Verma 21-11 21-18, while Sindhu overcame second seed Saili Rane 21-15 21-6 retd.
The final before the final was Praneeth versus close rival HS Prannoy, who had beaten him in the semis of the Bank of India tournament at Bangalore the previous week. Praneeth beat Prannoy in the semis, 19-21 21-11 21-14.
